If you ask me what it is that I love so much about living here, 2 words: The Sea. I don’t even know how to explain it. Maybe the best word to describe it is “full”. That full can be full of joy, or melancholy, depending on the mood, the light, the time of day. But the Sea is richness and it gives meaning and infinite depth to every emotion. Beyond the emotion, The Sea is a source of delicious fresh fish, and it is an immense playground. It won’t be long until we are back in the water, cooling our bodies down, or skipping along the top of the water in our little boat as we tour the area, looking for a pretty place for an afternoon nap.
I remember the first time I went up to Collingwood when I was a little girl growing up in Canada, and then later, as a teenager, when I went for camping trips with friends in Algonquin Park in Canada. There I gathered the same sense of serenity and awe as I looked out over the lakes. I never knew I would end up living here one day, though. Life is full of surprises. Nature is my guide.
